Q1: What will I receive for my $120 Ticket?
A1: Included in your ticket price is:
Q2: How much is the deposit and when is my deposit due?
A2: The deposit is $120 per table and is due by October 19, 2020.
Q3: When will table sales be open to others outside the chapter?
A3: All tables without a deposit will be released on October 20, 2020. Those tables will then be made available to anyone.
Q4: Can I make partial payments on my table?
A4: Yes. However, you can only make payments in increments of $120.
Q5: Will I still be able to buy my table(s) at the Frat House on Thursday nights?
A5: Yes! The ability to buy your table in person at the Frat House on Thursdays will still be a part of the Mardi Gras Process. However, you do have the option of purchasing tables on-line, without having to leave your home. Both of these options will be made available.
Q6: What is the cost of a room at the Bethesda Marriott?
A6: We have negotiated a room cost of just $89 per night, plus tax.
Q7: What are the due dates to pay on tables?
A7: October 19, 2020 – Deposit Due
November 30, 2020 – ½ Due on your table
January 25, 2021 – Final Payment Due
Q8: How can I become a Scholarship Endowment Sponsor and receive Preferred Seating?
A8: Due to increased sponsorship opportunities and a further commitment to our philanthropic programs, there will be an opportunity to increase your charitable giving by becoming a Scholarship Endowment Sponsor. For $2,200 you will receive preferred floor seating, special table decorations, podium event recognition, and additional tax benefits. However, there is a limited number of opportunities at this sponsorship level. Q9: How much of my Mardi Gras Ticket is Tax Deductible?
A9: $80.00 of each individual ticket is considered tax deductible. Please consult your tax adviser to ensure you are in compliance with all applicable IRS regulations when completing your tax returns. Alpha Omega Social Action & Scholarship Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt corporation, Federal Tax ID #52-1741766.
Q10: Will I receive paper tickets this year?
A10: Yes. Although you will receive an email for your online transaction, paper tickets will be available once your table is paid in full. Your paper ticket will be your entry into the Mardi Gras Ball.
Q11: Will my guests and I have a good time?
A11: The Mardi Gras Committee understands that while fundraising is an important function of the Mardi Gras Ball, it is not the event’s only purpose. Mardi Gras represents a long history of perseverance, progress, good times for Brothers and their families, and Friendships revisited. It is the Committee’s goal to preserve this legacy and continue in this tradition. At the end of the night, we want to reflectively and with great satisfaction say, “A good time was had by all!”
